TIE CANCELLATION MAY 24
Tonight’s Fife Cup match against Kismet is cancelled due to water having blown under the covers and a huge amount of debris blown from trees. The game is rescheduled for Thursday 26th.

Good results for the lads – wins in last Thursday’s T20 against Glenrothes, for the firsts at home against East Kilbride and for the 2s away to Livingston. The only downer was that we had no Village Cup game on the Sunday – Crathie had to call off. I got no details on the 2s game beyond word that Alan Wallace and Kash had good games (90-odd for Alan, I think, but the bush telegraph receiver was a bit fuzzy) but I did see some bits of the home game. Freuchie fielded first and looked to be coasting with the visitors at around 80 for 6, but the tail wagged to get to them 147. Our batting also started very brightly – around 90 for 1 when I was watching, but another 6 wickets fell before we passed the EKB total. Is this what Alex Fergusson means by ‘squeaky bum time’?

30 April to 8 May
That was a sore one on Saturday. On a brief early visit to the park I saw the visitors toiling at 70-odd for 5. Next time I was there they had lost no more wickets but taken the score to 267. Their pro, van Wyk, was dropped before he scored, but he failed to show proper gratitude and went on to post 156 not out. We finished 34 short of our target – a great game, but one we should have won. Meantime the Twos were losing at Falkirk despite some excellent individual performances (31 for Liam), but the Threes had a good win at Meigle on Sunday. Onwards and upwards to Thursday and the weekend:
