Saturday 11.15 – Dave is optimistic. He is cutting the wicket right now. The outfield is soggy in parts but the worst has been spiked and everything is drying at an acceptable rate for tomorrow. We are almost bound to see a shower or two as the day goes on, but as long as we don’t get prolonged heavy rain, we should be in good shape for tomorrow.

I hope we will see a more detailed report from someone who was at Kemnay this afternoon.

Fixtures for this weekend are published on the website. To do that, I have had to assume that all those picked are available. Once we get sorted and have all our players registered as website members, players can (and should) submit their availability information ahead of selection committee meeting. They will receive an email to tell them who is selected.

Website registrations are welcome from everyone but it’s VITAL that we get all players registered so that we can communicate with them directly – both sending and receiving.

The course is aimed at those wishing to take a first step on the coaching ladder such as club members, young people aged 16+, parents, volunteers, teachers etc. It is a particularly important course as the UKCC1 course is no longer available and this is a very suitable interim replacement.

Please encourage as many people as possible to attend this course. It is very cheap at only £20 to cover the cost of the resources. Please feel free to pass this onto anyone you think might be interested.

The course will be run by Live Active Leisure Cricket in Partnership With the Gannochy Trust, Cricket Scotland and Active Schools.
